With over 40 years of tried and tested methods and materials, our English courses consist of 4 learning components which are Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, incorporated through drama, song, games and stories, taught by our native speaking teachers from Australia, Canada, UK, USA and locally too.
We not only strive to improve our students’ English language skills but prepare them for tertiary education in the English medium. Each student in their final year of secondary school will be given a one on one counselling session on their further studies options by our qualified education counsellors.
At IEC, each class holds a small number of students (an average of 8 – 15 per class) to help facilitate individual learning and attention. We ensure that our students are provided the most effective learning experiences so that they may achieve their optimum potential within and beyond the classroom.
Students will be introduced to the world of English through fun and games, song and dance and many other creative means. Teachers will be using drama, art, story-telling and many wonderful UK based English games to encourage children to enjoy learning the English Language. Syllabus will be taken from the International ESL syllabus and many more.
Exams are conducted twice a year (after Term 2 and Term 4)
Suitable for upper primary school students between 10 – 12 years of age. Students will be challenged to increase their communication, grammar, essay writing and comprehension skills before they enter Secondary school based on the British and Singapore syllabus. UPSR exam bound students will also be taught the keys to tackling the UPSR exam questions. Special classes will be arranged for this.
IEC International English Centre provides courses for students of all ages to develop the 4 language skills of Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. Courses are designed to help them prepare for further studies in the English medium. It is the objective and aim of IEC to equip students to be able to cope with studies abroad in the future. We also include a leadership course called YouthMAX which teaches life tools to help students cope with issues on bullying, failure, self-image and personal character.

English for Adult Learners are available in 5 levels namely Beginners, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper Intermediate. IEC also conducts corporate training and business communication and writing in English upon request for companies and corporations, licenced and claimable under HRDC.
