  • Students have the opportunity to work towards the Swansea Employability Award to gain work experience and develop skills that employers are looking for.

  • Education is a forward-looking, research-led discipline concerned with policy and practice from a global perspective. It is a rapidly growing area of study that draws on the disciplines of psychology, philosophy, history and the social sciences to focus on understanding how people learn and how structures of education operate to foster life-long learning and personal development.
  • Students will be equipped with a solid grounding in contemporary theories and conceptual models of education as applied to local, national and international practice.
  • With our unique emphasis on learning in a digital age, students will be well equipped to utilise cutting edge learning technologies central to current trends in education theory and practice.

Social Sciences

  • Social Sciences is a multidisciplinary research-active programme which is designed for students who are ‘socially curious’.
  • It aims to develop graduates who have the critical thinking, problem-solving, personal attributes and communication skills needed to become leaders of social change.
